Komienski Farms is a fourth-generation family owned and operated farm business.  Located in Scotland, ON, the Komienski farm is part of a rich history of farmland.  Production began in the 1930’s with a few acres of sweet corn and potatoes purchased by Walter Komienski.  Now, the fourth generation of the Komienski’s run over 1600 acres of farmland producing various crops such as beans, sweet corn, peppers, squash, pumpkins, tomatoes, strawberries, asparagus, watermelon and cantaloupe.

It was in the 1990’s that the Komienski family branched out and started to sell their produce off of a wagon under the name Sam’s Place.  Today, you will find all the products we grow available at Sam’s Place Farm Market as well as at your local store and across Canada.

With the increased acreage and wide range of products that the Komeinski’s grow, there have been changes to the farming business as well.  We now have a 50,000 sq.ft. processing facility complete with a solar panel system.  This allows us to run an environmentally efficient and quality operation which has been certified by the CanadaGAP Food Safety Program for compliance with food safety standards worldwide (www.canadagap.com)

We take pride in everything we grow.  We handpick and pack all of our produce to ensure optimal quality and have a large cooling system to maintain peak freshness.
