OUR STORY
Komienski Farms is a fourth-generation family owned and operated farm business. Located in Scotland, Southern Ontario, the Komienski Farm is part of a rich history of farmland. Production began in the 1930’s with a few acres of sweet corn and potatoes purchased by the family’s patriarch, Walter Komienski. Now, the fourth-generation of the Komienski’s run over 1600 acres of farmland producing various crops such as beans, sweet corn, peppers, squash, pumpkins, tomatoes, strawberries, asparagus, watermelon and cantaloupes.
Our 30,000 sq.ft. processing facility complete with a new solar panel system allows us to run an environmentally efficient and quality operation certified by the CanadaGAP (www.canadagap.ca) Food Safety Program for compliance with food safety standards worldwide.
We take pride in everything we grow and so we handpick and pack all of our produce to ensure optimal quality.
You will find our products in your local store from the west to the east coast and at our farm market Sam’s Place located just north of us.
Sam’s Place carries all of our in-season fruit and vegetables for your local convenience as well as flowers, plants, fresh baked goods and home décor.
We hope to see you soon!
From Our Farm To Your Table
By growing a number of the fruits and vegetables you will find at Sam’s Place, we are able to offer you some of the freshest produce you can find. We are able to start picking crops early in the morning and within hours they can be found on our shelves. When we open our doors for the day, we can offer you fresh picked produce from that morning!
